Anja Jonuleit
Anja Jonuleit, born in Bonn and raised on Bodensee, worked for the German Embassy in Rome for several years. After a secondment to the embassy in Damascus, she studied Italian and English at the Language and Interpreting Institute in Munich. Back at Lake Constance, she worked as a freelance translator and court interpreter before devoting herself entirely to writing. Her novels, which have been published since 2007, reach a large readership and are regularly on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. She tackles the major issues of our time with care and expertise. She tells of dysfunctional families and relationships, of hostile social conditions and of threats in which it is difficult to protect oneself and others.
