Dirk Gieselmann

Dirk Gieselmann (1978) lives in Berlin, where he works as a freelance author and journalist. Having previously edited the football magazine 11 Freunde for ten years, he now writes for Zeit online, Der Tagesspiegel and Greenpeace Magazin. His work has earned him the Henri Nannen Prize, the Grimme Award and the German Reporter Prize. His most recent book, published by Eichborn, is a collaboration with photographer Armin Smailovic entitled Atlas der Angst. Eine Reise durch Deutschland. The play with the same name premièred at Hamburg’s Thalia Theatre in April 2017.
