Paulus Hochgatterer

Born in 1961 in Amstetten/ Lower Austria. Studied medicine and psychology at the University of Vienna. Lives as a storyteller, playwright and child and youth psychiatrist in Vienna and Lower Austria. His narrative work has been translated into more than 15 languages and has received numerous awards, including the Austrian State Prize for Youth Literature (2000), the European Union Prize for Literature (2009) and the Austrian Art Prize (2010). His play 'Böhm' was recently shown at the Vienna Burgtheater and the Residenztheater in Munich.
