Volker Klüpfel

Volker Klüpfel was born in Kempten in 1971. He studied political science and history in Bamberg and worked as a journalist in Germany and the USA, including for Bayrischer Rundfunk and the Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung. He has been an author since 2012 and, together with Michael Kobr, has reached an audience of millions with the multi-award-winning and filmed bestseller series “Kluftinger” and other novels. Most recently, the 13th volume in the series immediately returned to number 1 on the bestseller list. Klüpfel also writes plays (“Wir Räuber”, over 30,000 viewers) and screenplays. His first solo novel “Wenn Ende gut, dann alles - Das einsame Kind” is the gripping prelude to a new crime series and will be published by Penguin Verlag in spring 2025.
